Hospitality is the family business

Gotta Have It started in 2014 with a simple idea: cook food we would be proud to serve at our own table, and look after every guest as if they were ours.

Since then we have grown from a catering kitchen and a food truck into a team that can plan, cook, decorate and soundtrack an event. The food is still where we start.

Who you will work with

Vince Marra

Founding partner and executive chef

Vince grew up in his family's restaurants and trained in culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University. He was certified as an Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation at 27, then spent more than 20 years cooking and consulting for resorts, restaurant groups and hotels before co-founding Gotta Have It.

Travis Schamerhorn

Vice president of sales

Travis served as a Navy intelligence specialist and built a corporate marketing career before culinary school and restaurant ownership. He met Vince on a hotel consulting project, and the partnership grew from there.

Behind them is a team of cooks, servers and event staff who work your event from setup to cleanup.

How we work

Flexible menus
Customization is the default. We would rather cook your family's dish than talk you out of it.
Georgia ingredients
We cook with producers like Springer Mountain Farms, Brasstown Beef and Spotted Trotter where it makes sense.
Straight answers
If something will not work for your budget, venue or timeline, we will tell you and suggest what will.
One team
Catering, the food truck and event services are planned together, so you are not managing handoffs.
